Guard Us, O God, from Greed

A Lutheran prayer against greed and cosmic treason:

Preserve us from a corrupt desire and greed for the wealth of the world. Guard us from seeking the power and glory of this world and succumbing to its views. Protect us from the treachery of the world, so that its deception and wealth may not entice us to follow it. Amen.
